For more than a decade I’ve helped complex projects come to life. Today my focus is on efficiently integrating sustainability into every program and project. With evolving frameworks, effectively applying SEA®, LEED®, Envision®, LEAN Six Sigma® and program-appropriate protocols, efficient approaches allow our teams to move the needle in establishing processes and delivering products with a livable future in mind… while reducing resource strain on NGO’s and corporations. What can we do together when aligned?
My career began in improving conventional housing and landscape management by incorporating sustainable improvements—such as LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) strategies, ENERGY STAR® solutions, and the elimination of glyphosate from non-desirable plant management. Along the way, I learned and incorporated OSHA-30 (Occupational Safety and Health Administration 30-Hour Certification) for worksite safety, and PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP®) framework to coordinate people, budgets, and timelines so that projects run smoothly and stakeholders stay engaged.
In recent years, I’ve expanded my understanding of the sustainability space by applying ISSP’s SEA® (Sustainability Excellence Associate), USGBC’s LEED Green Associate® (LEED-GA®) for building improvements, ISI’s Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV-SP™) credential for civil projects, Scrum Alliance’s Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®), and Scrum.org’s Professional Scrum Product Owner® (PSPO®) for more effective processes and application.
The common thread in all of this is a belief that projects can deliver value to people and the planet when they’re planned with care and executed with integrity. There is no better feeling than achieving results that prove paradigm change is possible.
Real projects where I’ve put these ideas to work; in housing and infrastructure, biodiversity and land stewardship, operations and governance. Each case outlines the context, my role and partners, the frameworks applied (SEA®, LEED®, Envision®, community capitals, GHG Protocol and others), and the results we could actually measure. For me, Case Studies illustrate a clear record of what changed, what we learned, and what might be useful for our next project.
Different projects need different kinds of accountability. Sometimes that means owning program maintenance or the project delivery; sometimes it means building the measurement system; sometimes it means holding space for communities and ecosystems. Here’s where I’m ready to step in, and how I work in each role.
I work with mission‑driven clients who want their projects to have a lasting, positive impact. If you’re looking for a partner who combines rigorous project management with an honest commitment to sustainability, I’d love to hear from you. Together we can design and deliver initiatives that perform for people, profit and the planet.
